Ultra-high bypass (UHB) refers to a type of turbofan engine that has a very high bypass ratio, typically above 13:1. In a UHB engine, a large proportion of the air that enters the engine bypasses the core and is accelerated by the fan, producing a significant portion of the engine's thrust.
